Hello my name is Greta, at times we all need a friendly face and someone to listen to our story. My aim is to walk with you to provide an authentic, honest and trusting space where life’s experiences can be shared without judgement. I work from a biopsychosocial model which essentially means looking at the interconnection of our biology, our psychology and our social connections to help understand how we experience and respond to the challenges we may experience throughout our life. Whilst we are all unique and different, I describe myself as an eclectic therapist, in that I draw from a range of therapy forms including mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Metacognitive Therapy to foster empowerment, self-awareness and emotional growth. I work with individuals from age 18 years who may experience depression, anxiety, worry, grief and loss, menstrual irregularities, life transitions for example commencing university, relationship changes, or employment changes, stress and trauma. I have worked in the mental health space for two decades; I am registered psychologist and registered nurse. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you prior to booking an appointment.
