My name is Julie and I am a Psychologist. I have several years’ experience working in private practice, community mental health and acute outpatient care. Before I became a Psychologist, I worked in employment services and case management. I work with young adults, adults and older adults to support their mental health across a vast range of presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and stress-based experiences, adjustment difficulties, sleep disturbance, pain, grief and loss, low self-esteem and confidence, interpersonal difficulties, and emotional dysregulation. My area of special interest is helping people to heal from past trauma, and I have trained in trauma specific interventions including EMDR. I enjoy listening to peoples’ needs and supporting them to understand, improve and oversee their own psychological wellbeing and personal growth. I am passionate about ongoing learning and will often be found doing short courses to upskill myself in my spare time. I am also an animal lover and would happily have a house full of cats and dogs if I could.
