It was working initially as a client many years ago addressing on own lived experience traumas that opened the door to working in this field. I grew and healed many of the traumas and wanted to help others to heal through their emotional and mental health. I undertook a social work degree to practice in psychotherapies. After my Social Work degree, I explored other therapies and trained in Transpersonal & Emotional Release counseling which studied symbols & sandplay therapy, voice dialogue (Gestalt based), Holotropic Breathwork (Psychiatrist Stan Grof). Self-learning and reflective healing have been my passion for over 30 years. I love the work I do with people and lovely to watch them grow. My hobbies include gym work, mountain bike riding & meditation (MSBR trained). A deep interest of mine has in human connection. I have put this interest into practice with a Podcast on iTunes called – Heart of Connection Podcast ~ Self, Others & ‘All That Is’. We recently held our first inaugural World Heart of Connection Day ~ September 4, 2019. Giving loving-kindness to Self, Others & Mother Earth

Advice in seeking help:
Changing the old patterns or habits we live by can be one of life’s most difficult tasks. This can be frightening however that is also a normal reaction for all of us. If you’ve tried so many times to change on your own and the patterns come back it is important to have some guidance into what is blocking the change. Counselling assists you to explore your patterns of behavior and can provide ongoing support in the challenge of personal change. As self-awareness & insight grows, a deeper understanding of our patterns of behaviour emerge. This can then facilitate positive changes in our lives. It is at this place, within, that positive and lasting changes are made. It is a gentle, caring approach to self-development ~ the gift of self-care.
